Chas. Hawkins Co., Inc. appoints new president

Chas. Hawkins Co., Inc. has named Lewis Agnew as president of the independent commercial real estate company. Bill Hawkins, who has been president since 2004, will be moving into the role of chairman of the company.

Agnew, who holds an MBA from Vanderbilt’s Owen Graduate School of Management, a master’s degree in engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, joined the firm in 2013.

Most recently, Agnew coordinated the award-winning redevelopment of The Boot Factory, a 127,000-square-foot office project in the Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood. Agnew received the 2016 NAIOP Developing Leader Award for the Middle Tennessee Chapter.

Bridgestone names Saoud to lead commercial ops

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. has hired Joseph Saoud as president of truck and bus radial, Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations.

In this role, Saoud will be responsible for leading the sales activities for the U.S. and Canadian commercial truck and bus tire business, which includes Bandag retreads. He will drive the business’ long-term growth strategy and ensure continued value for customers, dealers and fleets.

Saoud brings more than 20 years of leadership experience. Most recently, he served as president, global construction, agriculture and military for Commercial Vehicle Group, Inc., a global supplier of a full range of cab and other vehicle related products for the global commercial vehicle market. Prior to his role with CVG, Saoud was president, filtration business unit, at Cummins for the last seven years, the global leader in the design, manufacture, distribution and service of diesel and natural gas engines and related technologies.

Saoud is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University.

Legal Aid Society taps fundraising chair

Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands, Tennessee’s largest non-profit law firm, has selected Julie Watson Lampley to serve as 2017 chair of the Campaign for Equal Justice, an annual initiative that raises funds for Legal Aid Society.

Lampley is an attorney and assistant practice group leader for the health care regulatory and transactions group at Butler Snow in Nashville. She also serves on Butler Snow’s executive committee. She will work with others across Legal Aid Society’s 48-county service area to raise over $800,000 to provide access to justice.

Lampley graduated first in her class at the University of Tennessee College of Law where she was a member of the Order of the Coif. She received her B.M.Ed. with honors from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Lipman Group hires managing broker

The Lipman Group Sotheby’s International Realty recently welcomed Jasper Tollett as managing broker.

He previously was at Re/Max Preferred Group and then Urban Native Real Estate Group. He has more than 15 years of real estate experience.

A native Tennessean, Tollett has been awarded numerous designations and honors, particularly from the National Association of Realtors and the Tennessee Association of Realtors. Notable honors include Green Specialist (GRN), At Home with Diversity (AHWD), Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES), Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR), among many more.

Armstrong leads KW in Mt. Juliet, Hendersonville

Aaron Armstrong has been appointed by the board members and approved by Keller Williams Realty International to serve as the operating principal for the Keller Williams Realty market centers in both Mt. Juliet and Hendersonville.

Additionally, Armstrong is under contract to become the majority shareholder in both offices in a deal that is expected to close later this year.

Keller Williams Realty is the largest real estate company in the world with more than 139,000 associates in more than 790 market centers across the globe. Locally, Keller Williams Mt. Juliet and Hendersonville combined have more than 225 agents, selling more than $485 million in real estate during the past 12 months.

Armstrong is the founder and chief executive officer of Armstrong Real Estate, a branch office of Keller Williams Realty – Nashville. Armstrong Real Estate is one of the top real estate sales teams in the state and ranks as one of the top 75 Keller Williams Realty teams in the entire Keller Williams realty system of over 139,000 associates.

In addition to serving as operating principal for the Mt. Juliet and Hendersonville Keller Williams offices, Armstrong will continue to run Armstrong Real Estate and maintain its office in the Nashville area.

A Belmont University alum, Armstrong holds a degree in business administration and is currently ranked by Broker Metrics among the top 5 real estate agents in Middle Tennessee.

He has been a licensed real estate agent since 2003.

Crye-Leike names Greene Gallatin managing broker

Crye-Leike Real Estate Services has named Susan L. Greene principal and managing broker of its Gallatin branch office.

A resident of Hendersonville and native of Nashville, Greene is responsible for managing and recruiting a sales force in her office that lists and sells residential and commercial real estate in and around Sumner County. Crye-Leike’s Gallatin office, one of 20 branch offices in Middle Tennessee, recently opened in July 2016. It joins Crye-Leike’s Hendersonville and Goodlettsville offices in Sumner County.

In addition to her administrative role, Greene will continue to list and sell residential real estate in Sumner, Davidson, Wilson and Robertson counties. She specializes in new home sales and condominiums as well as relocation and real-estate owned properties (REO).

Averaging over $4 to $5 million in annual sales volume, Greene’s sales achievements include being recognized as a member of Crye-Leike’s Multi-Million Dollar Club, the Greater Nashville Association of Realtors’ Award of Excellence and the Sumner County Association of Realtors’ Award of Excellence.

At age 26, she was the youngest member of GNAR to achieve Life Member of its Million Dollar Sales club. Her most recent sales achievement was attaining the Gold Award of Excellence from SAR in 2015.

Swinford, Young join Pinnacle as credit advisors

Swinford

Angie Swinford and Michael Young have joined Pinnacle Financial Partners as senior vice presidents and credit advisors. They are based at Pinnacle’s downtown Nashville office at Pinnacle at Symphony Place.

Swinford, with 18 years of experience, comes from CapStar Bank. While at CapStar she was a senior credit underwriter in its private banking area. Previous experience includes serving as a vice president in private banking for ServisFirst and a commercial loan officer for Renasant Bank in Birmingham.

Young

Swinford earned her bachelor’s degree in business and finance from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.

Young brings 21 years of financial services experience and also comes from CapStar Bank, where he was a senior credit underwriter. Prior roles included serving as a banking officer for Bank of the South and a commercial loan officer for National Bank of Commerce.

Young graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor’s degree in business and finance.

Wilson & Assoc. receives 2016 USFN Diamond

Wilson & Associates, PLLC, a law firm with offices in Arkansas and Tennessee, has been recognized as a 2016 USFN Diamond Award of Excellence recipient. The firm has been recognized annually since the award was initiated in 1993.

The Award of Excellence is given annually to USFN Member firms who meet rigorous standards that evaluate professional activities, industry volunteerism, and community and charitable involvement by the firm.

Recipients are honored each year at USFN’s Annual Member Education Retreat held in the late fall. USFN, founded in 1988, is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious trade association of law firms and trustee companies who focus on creditors’ rights.

The Award of Excellence program was initiated in 1993 to recognize and encourage Member firms to develop and maintain high standards of excellence in service to industry clients and to their community.

Tennessee Chamber selects Jackson as president, CEO

Bradley Jackson has been hired as president & CEO of the Tennessee Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Established in 1912, the Tennessee Chamber also serves as the Tennessee Manufacturers Association and counts Tennessee’s most prominent businesses as members. The Tennessee Chamber also maintains a statewide grassroots organization that includes local Chambers of Commerce and economic development professionals. The Chamber is the official state affiliate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, the National Association of Manufacturers, and the American Chemistry Council.

Jackson has more than a decade of experience in leading some of the business community’s most successful initiatives. In his prior role with the Chamber, Jackson served as the vice president for government affairs, heading up the implementation of the Chamber’s annual legislative agenda. During his tenure, the Chamber achieved a number of successes in the areas of workers’ comp reform, business taxes, and workforce initiatives. The Chamber succeeded in accomplishing more than 90 percent of its legislative goals during the time that Jackson steered Government Affairs.

Prior to joining the Chamber, Jackson worked in a variety of roles in Tennessee state government. He was on the research staff of the Senate and House Finance Ways & Means Committees, headed up lobbying for the Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions, and played a strategic role on behalf of the Governor’s office in a number of operational and strategic initiatives.

A native of Lawrenceburg, Jackson is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

The A Group consulting hires Cross Point minister

The A Group, a full-service marketing and technology agency that helps churches, ministries and non-profits, has hired Pete Wilson, the former senior pastor of Cross Point Church in Nashville, to its team of church and ministry consultants.

Founded by Maurilio Amorim 15 years ago, The A Group, located in Brentwood, partners with faith-based and non-profit organizations, helping them effectively tell their stories and increase their impact through strategy, consulting, marketing and technology. Wilson will serve as president of The A Group, alongside Diana Marsh, the company’s executive vice president.
