NASHVILLE (AP) - Genesco said Tuesday that its sales at stores open at least a year were flat for the quarter to date. The retailer also cautioned that its fiscal 2014 adjusted profit is now expected at the lower end of its outlook due to quarter-to-date results and current trends.

Corizon, a provider of correctional health care solutions, has appointed Calvin B. Johnson, M.D., M.P.H., as its new chief medical officer.

5. Myers moves from Wellpoint to Corizon -

Corizon, a provider of correctional health care solutions, has hired Woodrow A. Myers, Jr., M.D. as its new CEO.

Myers was formerly the executive vice president and chief medical officer of WellPoint, Inc. and has served as director of health care management for Ford Motor Company. He has also served as the health commissioner for the city of New York and the state of Indiana.

6. Norman will lead VU School of Nursing -

Linda Norman, DSN, R.N., who for 22 years has spearheaded curricular innovations at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing (VUSN), will become the school’s new dean, pending Board of Trust approval.

7. Fridrich & Clark’s Smith earns top Realtor honor -

The Greater Nashville Association of Realtors has named Lucy Smith of Fridrich & Clark Realty the 2012 Realtor of the Year.

The award is given annually to the GNAR Realtor member who has made the most significant contribution to clients, the real estate profession and the community. Smith was recognized for her achievements by Brian Copeland, last year’s recipient, at Saturday’s GNAR’s annual Awards of Excellence Gala.

8. Genesco narrows FY guidance to low end of range -

NASHVILLE (AP) - Genesco Inc. said Tuesday that it expects its fiscal-year profit to come in at the lower half of its previously projected range, saying that a delay in federal tax refunds may prompt some customers to delay purchases.

NASHVILLE (AP) - Genesco Inc.'s fiscal first-quarter profit surged 39 percent as sales strengthened at its Journeys, Lids and Johnston & Murphy stores.

NASHVILLE (AP) — Genesco Inc.'s net income climbed 34 percent in its fiscal fourth quarter, driven by strong performances from its Journeys and Lids Sports stores.

13. DCI Donor picks chief administrative officer -

DCI Donor Services, Inc. (DCIDS) recently named Scott Cantlon as its chief administrative officer.

Cantlon, has more than 35 years of experience as a senior executive in information technology and systems management for several industries. Most recently, he served as vice president and chief information officer for Lexon Surety Group where he led the development and implementation of IT strategy and managed IT support services.

14. Retailer Genesco narrows 2Q loss -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Genesco Inc. said Wednesday its second-quarter loss narrowed as it saw big revenue gains from its Journeys shoe and Lids hat stores and an acquisition. The retailer also raised its fiscal 2012 earnings forecast.

15. Genesco buying UK's Schuh Group for $112.6M -

NASHVILLE (AP) — Genesco Inc. has purchased British footwear company Schuh Group Ltd. for about $112.6 million, saying the deal gives it a retail presence in the United Kingdom and better insight into global fashion trends.

16. McDermott joins board of NB&T -

Broadcast veteran Deborah A. McDermott, president of Young Broadcasting LLC, has been elected to the board of Nashville Bank & Trust and its holding company, NBT Holdings Inc.
