81. Lack of clear No. 1 hurts Titans’ chance for big score -

Have the Tennessee Titans picked a bad year to be bad? It depends upon how you view things.

Having the No. 1 overall pick in April certainly can’t hurt the Titans, despite the fact that the 2016 draft lacks that certain flair and doesn’t appear to have a can’t-miss talent that would make Tennessee’s choice on April 28 obvious.

87. No need to risk putting Mariota in more danger -

The Tennessee Titans are holding out hope that Marcus Mariota’s right knee injury, sustained in Sunday’s loss to the Patriots, won’t be season-ending.

Titans interim coach Mike Mularkey made it a point at his Monday press conference to refute several national reports that said the rookie quarterback would definitely be out for the final two games of the season.

88. Struggling Titans step up their game for Mularkey -

The biggest positive for the 2015 Titans is that they continue to fight.

Their record – 3-9 – is terrible, not a marked improvement over last year’s 2-14 debacle. But the Titans have not folded on a regular basis, as they did a year ago when they lost nine games by two touchdowns or more.

It was only one game, one win, but it was clear in the aftermath Sunday just how much the Tennessee Titans needed the victory they got in overtime against the New Orleans Saints.

94. Better Titans doing nothing for Whisenhunt’s record -

The whispers are already out there. How much job security does Ken Whisenhunt really have with the Tennessee Titans?

It seems a little soon for message boards and talk radio to be discussing the ouster of the Titans coach, but such is life in the coaching fish bowl when you lose games that should go into the win column, like the Titans have done in their past two games.

95. Weaker-than-usual AFC South is there for the taking -

Some team has to win the AFC South. League rules require it, even if no team truly deserves to go to the playoffs.

It was proven last year when the Carolina Panthers won the NFC South with a not-so-tidy 7-8-1 record, a mark that required four consecutive wins to reach.
